We are back!

We are back from Uncle Brian and Aunt Courtney's wedding! I do not know where to begin!
Looking back, there was so much that happened ! It was the most elegant wedding Mike and I have ever been a part of. (As every couple would say~ "our wedding was the best" and we feel that way about ours!) But, It was a weekend full of celebrations and we felt catered to and enjoyed the time with the family!
Parker and I woke up at 4:30 AM Thursday to get to the airport. Mike took us in and escorted me to security. It pays to have a stroller! I got to go to the front of the line! Parker was so good~ he slept on the planes and made my stress a really light load!
Thursday, when we arrived my in- laws picked us up. They happily watched Parker and I went to dinner with all the girls in the wedding party.
Friday morning we had a Bridal Brunch and Courtney presented our gifts to us! It was a real special treat to be catered to in that way! Mike arrived Friday afternoon and went to pick his tux up! Later we discovered that he got Brian's and there was no tux order for Mike, Courtney's Dad and her brother! In the end, the store had a tux for all 3 of them by Saturday AM. They all ended up getting their tuxes for free! (You are probably laughing if you know how frugal my dear Mike is~for him to have this happen was wonderful! He loved every minute of it! )
Mom and Dad Riese had a wonderful Rehearsal dinner for the wedding party and family at (a french restaurant in DC)! It was precious to get to know Courtney's family and hear some special stories about the 2 of them! One funny side note about the dinner: Dad Riese wanted to hold Parker after dinner! I happily told Dad Riese he could hold him (knowing he'd been working on a diaper) and when he picked him up the diaper had exploded through his clothes and it was all over Dad Riese's hands! Of course it went all over Parker's cute outfit too! Thank goodness I had his pajamas with me! We all just laughed and laughed! Dad Riese was much more reluctant to just pick him up after that!
Saturday~ All of us girls were at the salon that morning and Mike was so supportive and hung out with us! He actually was there to watch Parker and took him so I could go with the girls to the church!
The reception was our favorite! The wedding started at 6:00 and we did not end until 1:00AM! Like I said, it was a memorable time but we were zombies flying home on Sunday! The Family loved seeing Parker and we were so glad to be a part of this celebration! We are so happy to finally have Courtney a part of the Riese family! I am thrilled to finally have another girl in the family!
CONGRATULATIONS to Brian and Courtney!
May God Richly bless your marriage!
Blessings to you all,
Jenn, Mike and Parker
