Spring Portraits

I took Parker and Kaden in last week for Easter/Spring/ Kaden's 3 months photos. (Enough reasons to get in for a photo shoot)

Here are just some of the many photos we got (over 2 days);

We had to go back the second day, since Kaden fell asleep! LOL

But we are pleased with these sweet photos of the boys!

Can't believe Kaden is almost 4 months old~He had a first moment last week!

He giggled for the first time today and it melted my heart! His little personality is coming out more and more! It is so amazing how much you forget about the baby days...yet so funny how it seems like yesterday, when Parker was a baby. They really do grow up in the blink of an eye!

Easter Airplane Adventure

We had a memorable Easter weekend and once again more special guests to come and meet Baby Kaden. On March 28th, Kaden turned 3 months old. He is doing much more interaction with us now and Parker is enjoying that! He is cooing more and still enjoys being held and cuddled. He is starting to sleep almost 9 hour stretches at night-and I am almost sure he is 15 pounds by now! So stinking cute and chubby. Yes- already have the boy in 6 month clothing. Fingers crossed he slows down a bit so I don't have to keep changing the wardrobe every month!
He just started smiling about 2 weeks ago. I was able to capture a good one the other day!
 Mike's college roommate Chris, his wife, Meghan and their 19 month old, Emma all came from Charlotte.

Kaden-3 months old!

A few days before Easter arrived-Parker had an Egg hunt at his preschool and made these adorable Bunny Baskets. The morning after-I could not find Parker. I soon discovered him in the backyard with the basket secretly eating the candy away! SO stinking hilarious! So young and SO smart-ALREADY!

                   We loved having Emma here to entertain Parker while we caught up with Chris and Meghan.

 We even got in time to watch a movie once the two of them were in bed. (Rare occurence to have time to sit and watch a movie now that there are 2 kids in the house!) Of course it would not be a memorable Easter weekend, without an Egg Hunt. So, Saturday we went to our Church's Egg hunt! We had 40,000 Easter eggs this year!! It was a blast for the kids and entertaining for us adults. Especially when Parker's friend, AJ, decided to put the eggs he got into Emma's Easter basket :). Then AJ decided to take them out-ending with emptying ALL of them out of her basket! :( Her happy heart ending with a crushed heart!)  I hate to admit it-but it was hysterical to watch.But we made sure to get her basket full of eggs in the end.

Easter Sunday we enjoyed the service and were reminded of the Redemption we have in our Savior and the true Peace in Christ! It is such a joy to know the peace and reason we celebrate Easter! Praying that Parker and Kaden will eventually know all that God did for them!

 Following Church we had Lunch at Elevation (Our small-local Airport's restaurant).Uncle Rick, Aunt LaLa and Terry all went with the 7 of us! It was the perfect place for Parker. He is FASCINATED with Airplanes! (Hence the Easter outfits for Parker and Kaden from Gymboree this year-it was so fitting and to darn cute!)

 We made sure Parker sat by the window and got entertainment by watching them come in! Kaden enjoyed his first Easter dinner by spending most of the time doing what most 3 months old do-sleeping.

Thanks for making it a special weekend-Chris, Meghan and Emma!  Special thanks to Uncle Rick, Aunt Lala and Terry for picking the perfect place for Easter dinner!

A Canadian Cousin Visit

Parker and Kaden have 4 cousins. Three of them live in Michigan and Samuel lives in Canada!

The end of March, Kaden got to meet Cousin Sam for the first time-along with Uncle Eric and Aunt Jolyn.

We are SO happy that Aunt Jolyn and Sam came for almost 2 weeks. It was a HUGE blessing to me. Mike had a business trip to Toronto so Jolyn overlapped her visit to be here to assist me while Mike was gone. I was never more grateful for the helping hands after the week of doctor visits with Parker. Parker was ILL with double ear infections most of their visit. We were at the Doctor on Monday and I was able to leave Kaden with my sister and Samuel. Parker got put on Amoxicillian on Monday-and another antibiotic in the middle of the week and ended the week with a Shot of Rostefan to KILL the vicious bug. It was attacking our sweet Parker and making mommy go insane with all his mood swings and unhappy personality. He was NOT himself most of the week. So it put a little damper on the visit-but-we made sure to still cherish the happy moments. We did get a few  memorable adventures in!

Some other highlights were: Kaden's Baby Dedication, Story time at the Library, Jolyn and I going out with some of my MOPs friends ( THANKS Mary Katherine for keeping ALL 3 kids) and  a MUST- Dinner out for just Jolyn and me on Thursday night (when Mike got home!!!)

And we must not forget special visitors that we were NOT expecting  in our house for part of the week-ANTS! They were attrackted to the open bottle of corn syrup (whooops) but they sure were a BIG entertainment to Samuel and Parker. LOL

Jolyn-thanks for ALL the work, cleaning and lack of sleep you sacrificed to help me get through the week. Hopefully our next visit will not include double ear infections and ANTS. 

 LOL

Kaden's Baby Dedication

Kaden just turned 3months old! It is becoming a tradition in this house that we have our babies dedicated at 3 months! So, last Sunday we had Kaden's Baby Dedication.

We are so grateful to God for another sweet boy and so blessed to be his parents!

We were touched that our church had the dedication service while my sister was here visiting! When we had Parker's dedication we did not have any family in town. I was able to put Kaden in the same dress shirt that Parker wore for his Dedication too! The neat thing was that each of the boys were about 3 months old when we had their dedication service. Our good friends, Kendall & Samantha (and Marlee) and Uncle Rick, Aunt LaLa and Terry all attend the service too. We found it so fitting that the sermon was on Finances ~and fitting because they all came for Kaden and his name has a significance to finances Kaden Mikah "Ramsey" (Since we are currently on the Dave Ramsey Plan). Following the service we had everyone come back for Homemade Spaghetti and cake!

Mike and I have recognized the vast responsibility of parenthood and it is our deepest prayer for Kaden to one day come to know the Lord as his personal Savior! Just as we have prayed this prayer for Parker, it is also a prayer that is dear to our hearts for our Sweetpea- Kaden.

Kaden got a special letter, Bible and plaque from our pastor. The plaque has his name, Biblical meaning and life verse on it. Kaden, we pray that you will live up to your name and be a peacemaker who symbolizes what real peace is- Knowing what real peace is-The Lord Jesus.

Officially a Soccer Boy

Last Saturday, Parker had his first experience with Soccer.
He is playing with a group of 2 &1/2 to 3&1/2 year olds called "Sporties for Shorties."
It was a riot to watch 24 kids all wanting the same ball (but there were 23 others around). Most of them were clueless and all they wanted to do was pick up the ball or run!Parker actually had Daddy participate for most of the 1/2 hour! 
I got a quick video of Parker holding the soccer ball and "walking" it to the goal!
Parker will be playing soccer for 5 more weeks and then we will be signing him up for T-Ball. Parker is excited that his friend Tucker is also playing along. (Mommy loves having Tucker's mommy there too)!
I guess this officially makes us "soccer parents!"
